Weight Gain When Trying to Lose

Since I know my body fairly well after 50+ years, I knew it was only a matter of time before I would record a weight gain day. It saddens me though that I wind up with a gain after the day I did more exercise than others. I didn't eat anything out of the norm but I did bang my bad foot against the pool wall a couple of times.  So an injured foot equals weight gain? For me, I really do think it does.

I can feel the inflammation in my feet today. Others can't really see it but I know it is there. I need to up my anti inflammatory foods and add more omegas and things like cherries and pomegranates. I've tried to avoid permanently being on a med for the arthritis but I may have to rethink and at least do something temporarily until I see if the weight loss and exercise can get it back under control.

I had my cardiac stress test today. The cardiologist decided, even though he thinks the murmur is just heard because of the change in hormones, that now is a good time for base line tests.  He did a chemical induced stress test so the treadmill would not send my feet into arthritis agony. The entire procedure was about 4 hours long. Glad it is over. No caffeine before the test, and nothing to eat since last night made the morning rough.

Tomorrow is the ECHO and the Cardioid artery ultrasound. Then I catch an appt break for a week I think.

So here's the record of the first day with a gain:

June 5 weight: 209.2 ( 1.8 lb gain)

What I ate today:

Breakfast: grapes, banana and toast
lunch: apple, cheese, and salad
dinner: broiled hamburger with sliced tomatoes

The after effects of the radiation from the test are sending me to bed tomorrow. Hope the scales are kinder in the a.m.
